Church Family and Youth Retreats

Church youth camps are always a thrill; especially when their families are included in the outdoor adventure experience at Lake Godstone™. The fishing from seven docks is great in the 40 foot deep lake and two additional fishing ponds with docks, but the lily pads seem to attract the most attention as does our water slide off the lodge porch. With canoes, kayaks, pedal boats and a row boat there are plenty of ways to explore the lake and our rental six-person UTV and golf cart make exploration of the trails around the forested lake and wooded upper meadow a wonderful wildlife viewing opportunity to visit our wildlife feed and watering stations around our 188 acre campus with six miles of all-weather roads. If mountain bikes or hiking is a preferred means of travel we also feature “Tranquil Trail”, a four-mile grass and rock hike and bike trail. We offer a tractor-pull hayride for up to 25 people for those that just want to enjoy a one-hour ride throughout the wooded campus and past our feed stations. Our campus-wide free wifi has 21 access points and so staying in touch with other members of your family or friends during your stay is a breeze using Wi-Fi calling or text messaging. Outdoor education by leaders or parents is easily facilitated for such things as fire-pit use (we have 20 large fire-pits and the lodge fire-pit has seating for 40 people. Tracking animals, bird-watching, water safety..bee hive care, monarch butterfly station, night time sky viewing at our observatory and its telescope… there is just to many ideas to detail here.Our basketball court is lit for night time use and our baseball and soccer field and sand volleyball court provide ample opportunities to compete with friends and family. The Top of the Dam Group Campground and Refuge Group Campground both have large crosses and the lake trail features the Beatitude Stones with seating.
